Paul was ordained priest before he left Great Britain, about the year 530. the church of the Holy Cross, and is used by six monks who assist the nuns; the lowest church is called St. King Ethelbert, after having reignedfifty-six years, exchanged his temporal diadem for an eternal crown, in616, and was buried in the church of SS. At length, not being able to stand,he was carried back to prison on men's shoulders.
